I’ve been living in Thailand for 14 years, and I’ve completely gotten used to the strong air conditioning here. However, for Japanese bodies, this constant cold can actually be quite harmful. Little by little, body temperature and basal metabolism drop, and before you know it, you start feeling tired and unwell for no clear reason. I’ve learned that many health issues are related to coldness and poor blood circulation. For women especially, “warming the body” (Onkatsu) is an essential part of health care. Living in Thailand, consciously improving body coldness and maintaining balance is actually a very smart and effective way to stay healthy. Exercise can help boost metabolism, of course—but it takes effort, and honestly, I tend to give up… I just can’t keep it up (laugh). Onkatsu is the one health habit I’ve been able to continue consistently. Simply warming the body improves blood circulation and metabolism, helping various conditions naturally. There’s no need to push yourself—just continue what feels comfortable and pleasant. With Onkatsu, both body and mind relax. Taking time at your own pace, slowly and gently supporting your body—this I can do (laugh). I truly recommend everyone try Onkatsu. On days you can’t exercise, a good warm bath is more than enough! 😊
